Puppetry Gallery

As the Artistic and Founding Director, I ensure WP Puppet Theatre places originality and imagination a top criteria of our work. We work with original scripts, imbedding the puppet and set design in the storyline. We create many different puppetry styles including shadow, hand, rod, Bunraku, mask-body and others less easily definable. Our productions often blend live actors, film, projections, dance and story-telling. Our aesthetic has explored fiber, plastic, wood, copper, paper and the music that underscores our work is commissioned just for us.

We believe that producing theatre for young audiences is an important job. We understand the responsibility in performing for young (and older) minds to have a positive and lasting impact. Our goal therefore is to bring ideas to families that will spark conversations, encourage profound thought, inspire creativity and Animate the Spirit!
